Programme

We present the complete programme of the Fairway congress for all those interested in the Camino. All the presentations, panels, round tables and debates will feature the delegates’ participation, so that everyone can share their interests and concerns and be heard.


Come and share your opinion!!
You can register your participation at the Congress on line for November 13 and 14; you will be able to see speakers from different countries, cultures with different views of how the Camino influences their business decisions, their lives or their daily management of the Camino. It is aimed at tourist professionals in general, tourist officials working for institutions, companies and students, pilgrims, Camino associations and all those interested in the phenomenon of the Camino in the 21st century.

On Sunday, November 12, we will hold a special programme for all the public featuring activities for kids and families, with something for everyone: you can visit the market, the Fairway tasting zone with a nod to the Camino’s gastronomy and different leisure options in an exceptional setting.     José Manuel Andrade Calvo (Fundación Juana de Vega)

    Graduated in Economics and Business Studies from the University of A Coruña, he developed his professional career since 1997 in the Juana de Vega Foundation, of which he has been director since 2005.

    He is a professor in the Department of Financial Economics and Accounting at the University of A Coruña. He has participated in numerous courses and seminars on issues related to the agri-food sector of Galicia and has published articles on this subject.

    D. Enrique Sáez Ponte (Presidente de la Fundación Juana de Vega)

    He studied at the University of Santiago de Compostela, where he graduated in Economics and Law. Later, he specialized in Business and Management at IESE in Barcelona.

    He is president of the Juana de Vega Foundation, patron of the Museo do Pobo Galego and member of the advisory council of the Galician Institute of International Documentation and Analysis (IGADI). He also has extensive professional experience in private business: he worked for thirty years at Banco Pastor, where he held senior management positions.

    Mercedes Parrado Rodríguez

    Manager of the Pulpería Ezequiel in Melide, a family business founded in 1960 and that over time has been specializing in serving the pilgrim, becoming one of the gastronomic referents of the French Way.

    Begoña Valdomar Insua

    Hospitalera of the hostel of pilgrims of Fisterra and vicepresident of the Galician Association of Friends of the Way of Santiago, functions that combines with its work in the City council of Fisterra, head of the Rourist Information and Youth Information.

     

    Mónica and Silvana Crisóstomo Besada (Ideas Peregrinas Pilgrim Store)

    Silvana Crisóstomo Besada holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from the Caixanova School of Business, a Master's in Financial Advising and Asset Management, and European Financial Advisor, is a financial advisor with more than 12 years of experience in Private Banking.

    Mónica Crisóstomo Besada specializes in Organization and Tourism Management and Graphic Design Advertising, has extensive experience in tourism planning, combining her work in Ideas Peregrines with her activity as a tourism consultant in Sherpa Project.

    Both are members and creators of Ideas Pilgrim-Pilgrim Store, a concept designed to provide an integral service to the pilgrim located in Tui, awarded in 2017 with the Santiago de Compostela award in the category "Initiatives developed by small and medium enterprises."
