The Foundation Juana de Vega aims to promote awareness, conservation and development of rural areas of Galicia, with special emphasis on the training of its workforce, to preserve its natural and human environment and improving their economic base and the activities with her related.

Among our lines of work are the agri-food promotion, the landscape and the territory that we develop through the Galician School of Landscape Juana de Vega, Research in the agrarian and forestry fields and the activities developed through the Juana de Vega Chair created , at the University of Santiago, to spread the life and work of our founder and its historical context.

In this context, the Ways of Santiago is presented as a clear opportunity to fulfill the purpose of the Juana de Vega Foundation. Present in 139 of the municipalities of Galicia and bringing together 72% of the population, the Ways are a powerful tool for territorial development, based on the enhancement of cultural, natural and intangible heritage.
