The repertoire features themes that are very much centred on Díaz’s voice or are linked to a more intimate format: that which combines traditional instrumentation and the Coruña musician’s singing.

The trio format forms the basis of the project, which includes Roberto Grandal on the accordion and Iván Costa on the hurdy-gurdy. These are the pillars of everything that Xabier Díaz creates. Granel is a musician with a long career, an extraordinary pianist, who provides reliability and forcefulness when it comes to playing. Costa also has extensive experience, being a magnificent bagpipe player and one of Galicia’s best hurdy-gurdy players, handling the instrument in an extremely delicate way, and attaining unique and untransferable acoustic values.
