Melchor Fernández
Lecturer of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis and coordinator of the University of Santiago de Compostela’s Economic Analysis and Modelling Group (GAME).
BIOGRAPHY
He has a PhD in Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He was director of the Galician University Institute for Studies and Development (IDEGA) from November 2005 to January 2014, and has been the coordinator of the USC’s PhD programme (Regional Development and Economic Integration) since 2010. In May 2018, he was appointed as the director of the USC’s Department of Fundamentals of Economic Analysis. His research papers have centred on the evaluation of socioeconomic policies with general balance models, the planning and evaluation of socio-health services, the economic analysis of tourism, and the labour economy.
