CORREOS resumes the transport of backpacks between stages in the Camino Francés in Aragón
The postmen of the zone will transfer the luggage of the pilgrims between the lodgings until next October 31st. The Paq Mochila offered by "El Camino con Correos", will return to the French Wayas it crosses Aragon from June 1.
2018 is the second year CORREOS offers this service in Aragon. From Monday to Friday and stage by stage, the postmen of the towns will be in charge of lightening the weight of the pilgrims depositing their backpacks in the hostels, hotels or any other accommodation specified by the pilgrim.
The Paq Mochila can be hired on the website El Camino con Correos, where you only need to fill in a document specifying the stages. In addition, petitions are also collected in the email paqmochila@correos.com and via WhatsApp at the following number: 683 440 022.
It works this way: once finished the reservation, CORREOS programs the pickups of luggage at the different accommodations the pilgrim has specified and delivers them in the following accommodation before 2 p.m. so the owners can enjoy their belongings again when they finish the stage.
The service is going to be offered from Monday to Friday just for the cost of 5€ each stage. If the pilgrim hires more than 5 stages, each stage costs 4€.
In Aragón, CORREOS covers 5 stages of the French Way. It starts at Somport and, in Puente la Reina starts the route in the territory of Navarra. The stages are the following: Somport-Jaca, Jaca-Arrés, Arrés-Ruestas, Ruesta-Sangüesa and Sangüesa-Puente La Reina, the first stage of Navarra.
