Paolo Giuletti
President of the Francesco's Ways Consortium
Born in 1964, he has been a priest for twenty-six years in the Diocese of Perugia, where he now serves as auxiliary bishop and vicar general. From 2001 to 2007 he was in charge of the National Service of Youth Ministry of the Italian Episcopal Conference.
The passion for the pilgrimage took him several times to the Camino de Santiago, to Rome, to Jerusalem, to Loreto and to many other sacred destinations in Italy and Europe. Since 1996 he is chaplain of the Brotherhood of Santiago de Compostela in Perugia, which for more than thirty years, promotes pilgrimage and helps pilgrims in their hospitals along the French Way, the Via Francigena and now also the Via di Francesco. He has published in Terre di Mezzo: "A piedi a Gerusalemme", a guide for the pilgrimage in the Holy Land to Jerusalem; "Via Lauretana", guide for the pilgrimage between Assisi and Loreto; "Via di Francesco", guide for the pilgrimage on the Franciscan roads, from Rome or La Verna to Assisi. He is president of the Consortium "Francesco's Ways" in which he is dedicated above all to faithfully edit the spiritual and cultural contents of the Via di Francesco.
