Presentation: The special guideline of Territorial Management of the Way of St. James-French Way to its step by Aragón

Facing the challenge that this question raises, the Government of Aragón through the Department of Basic Structuring of the Territory, Mobility and Housing is commited to respond in a comprehensive manner that it is possible to carry out the management of the Camino de Santiago in a coordinated way.

For this we need to provide that appropiate regulatory instruments that achieve this objetctive by the simultaneous joint action with the sole purpose of promoting and protecting the Way of Saint James, whatever the competente administration in each case.

In Aragón, the procedure for approving the territorial planning instrument, called the Special Roadmap for Territorial Planning of the Way of Saint James-French Way to its passage through Aragón, is already very advanced, a document that seeks to bring together the interests of the different Public Administration with competences in the aforementioned territorial scope: Departaments of the Autonomous Community, Provinces of Huesca and Zaragoza, Regions of Jacetania and Cinco Villas, City councils, as well as the interests of different economic and social sectors. And above all to value a cultural and historical reality, which trascends borders and times.
