Jorge Daries, an economist and a renowned expert in strategic planning of destinations and design of tourist products, is a great champion of the so-called "scenic routes". Traveling, for him, is not just about reaching a destination. Why can not the path itself be destiny? It is a question that we can extrapolate to the Camino de Santiago: Can anyone think that this myriad route is limited to covering a distance to embrace the Apostle?

It began its link to tourism from the distribution sector, designing and programming rural tourism and adventure products. As an expert in tourism products, he participated in 1992 in the working groups organized by the Secretary of State for Tourism for the "Revitalization of the Camino de Santiago as a tourist product" and in the promotion of the destination "Green Spain".

Since then, as a tourism consultant, he has directed numerous strategic, marketing and product development plans for rural and urban tourism destinations in Spain and Latin America, also collaborating in tourism development programs promoted by Multilateral Financial Institutions such as the IDB (Banco Inter-American Development Bank) or the CAF (Development Bank of Latin America). He is currently a managing partner of tmrexperience, a consultancy specializing in sustainable and intelligent tourism.
