Carlos Rivas, a founding member of Hospeco (A Coruña’s Bussiness Association of Accommodation) and teacher at the University Tourism School of Coruña.
His relationship with the accommodation sector is not recent, as assistant director and director of hotel complexes in A Coruña, which lead him to be a founding member of Hospeco. He as well teaches subjects related to accommodation management at the University Tourism School in A Coruña and is the author of diverse studies and publications, being part of the elaboration of the 2020 Strategy of Galicia’s Tourism, which objective is improving the competitiveness of the sector.
Licensed in Law by the University of Santiago de Compostela, technic in Touristic Bussiness and Activities, master in Bussiness Administration and Direction. Worked as director and assistant director of hotel complexes in A Coruña and is funding founding member of Hospeco (A Coruña’s Bussiness Association of Accommodation).
Currently, he is working as a teacher at the Tourism School of A Coruña's University, giving lessons related to accommodation management, Restauration and Quality of the Touristic Services. He also coordinates and is a professor in post grades courses and masters of the University of A Coruña related to Quality and Tourism. Rivas has taken part as a member of the research team of the University of A Coruña in the elaboration of the diagnostic of the 2020 Strategy of Galicia’s Tourism, as well as in other studies and publications.
