Discussion table: Lodging on the Road, regulations and controversies
Participants in the debate will talk about the regulations that affect tourist accommodation and will try to determine who and how to act in cases of intrusion or legislative failure.
Thousands of small and medium enterprises have proliferated along the different Jacobean routes in order to meet the demands of the pilgrims. Their role as economic promoters is undeniable. However, business opportunities also bring out the picaresque or practices considered as intrusive. Therefore, this table was born with the aim of delving into the problems that arise when it comes to providing lodging to the pilgrim, as well as in the controversy generated by the practices of the so-called collaborative economy, now so in vogue.
