Fairway is consolidated as the great forum of the Camino de Santiago with a hundred exhibitors
Fairway is consolidated as the great forum of the Camino de Santiago. In its third edition, will register a notable increase in the number of stands and exhibitors at the fair and, in addition, have already covered almost all of the places of the workshop when there is still a month to open its doors in the Palacio de Congresos de Santiago de Compostela.
The event, which will take place between February 10 and 12, will also present important novelties, among which the fair investment forum Fairway Invest or the Fairway Academy training program, which will join the symposiums and debate tables of the congress or open day, Fairway Open Day, which will offer a complete program of activities for all audiences.
80% occupation in the workshop
The third edition of Fairway continues betting on the workshop format to facilitate work meetings between Hosted Buyers - invited international companies - and all those professionals, companies and public bodies linked to any of the Caminos de Santiago that are interested in presenting their products , destinations and services.
They have already confirmed their attendance as Hosted Buyers a total of 28 companies from countries on four continents, including Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, United Kingdom, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and Australia. These are tour operators, issuing travel agencies, reservation centers and on-line agencies, which have been invited by the organization to participate in the workshop.
At this point, more than 80% of the places available to participate in the workshop have already been occupied. The registration deadline will close next Tuesday, January 15.
Outstanding institutional presence
Fairway will be more than ever the meeting point of all those people and institutions linked to the Camino de Santiago. More than fifty stands and a hundred exhibitors have already confirmed their presence at the fair, representing a growth of more than 20% compared to the previous edition of 2017. It is worth highlighting the increase of territories represented institutionally through different municipal administrations , provincial or autonomous.
All the communities through which the French Way takes place will participate in the fair. It is also worth noting the outstanding presence of the Portuguese, boosted by the rise of the Portuguese Way, which is already the second route that attracts the most pilgrims. In Fairway, for example, the Caminho Central, the Caminho da Costa or individual municipal chambers such as Ponte de Lima will be present with their own pavilion. There will also be stands for other official itineraries that are less traveled, such as the Camino del Norte or the Camino de Invierno.
For places of origin, Fairway will have participants from Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Euskadi, La Rioja, Navarra, Aragon, Castilla y León, Catalonia, Madrid, the Balearic Islands, Ireland and Portugal. All of them trust in the Forum of the Way to promote their attractions and tourist resources.
