Fairway will turn Santiago on the Camino's touristic bussiness' epicentre
The 3rd edition of Fairway will not only be the most international of all the ones which have taken place emphasising the focus the Camino de Santiago is arousing outside our frontiers, but also confirming the potential of the rest of the Jacobean routes beyond the traditional French itinerary. The workshop is about to deplane the existent places with 33 hosted buyers already noted and near a hundred sellers.
This way, we will find ourselves among the participants of the fair or the workshop of the Way's forum, which is going to take place from February 10th to 12th at the Palacio de Congresos de Santiago de Compostela, companies from South Africa or Australia. Also, we can check the rising of the Portuguese Way and the impulse of other less known routes such as the Primitive Way and the Winter Way, as well as the prolongation until the Roman "end of the Earth".
A total of 33 Hosted Buyers from 4 continents
Less than one month for Fairway to open again its doors and the registration on the workshop will close almost full. The succes of this format lies in facilitate the work encounters between Hosted Buyers -guest international companies- and those professionals, private companies an public organisms related to any of the Ways interested in presenting their products, destinations or services.
A total of 33 companies from 4 continents have already confirmed their assistance as Hosted Buyers, among them there are Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, the United Kingdom, Brasil, Mexico, South Africa and Australia. It's about tour operators, travel agencies, reservation centres and online agencies which have been invited by the organization to be part of the workshop.
Wineries and apps among the sellers
The sellers offering their services are reaching the hundred. In a private area, the predominant companies are the catering establishments (hotels, hostels, touristic apartments, restaurants, etc.) and the travel agencies with the Camino as main product but we can also find companies promoting guide and excursion services, transportation of luggage and people, bycicle renting and even wineries and app developers.
Concerning the public organisms apart of Correos and Paradores, communities as Asturias, Cantabria, Castilla y León or Catalunya, mancommunitites as O Salnés or destinations as the Costa da Morte, A Guarda, Fisterra or Santiago will also participate on the workshop.
