Xabier Díaz Concert

The trio format forms the basis of this musical project, including Roberto Grandal on the accordion and Iván Costa the hurdy-gurdy. They are the pillars of everything that Xabier Díaz creates. Grandal is a musician with a long career, an extraordinary pianist that stands out due to his musical competence and forcefulness. Costa also has extensive experience, being a marvellous bagpipe player and one of the best hurdy-gurdy players in Galicia, who handles the instrument with the utmost delicacy, resulting in unique, untransferable acoustic values.

Their repertoire is very much centred on Díaz’s vocals or a more intimate format: that which combines traditional instrumentation and the Coruña musician’s singing.
